How to create a Meditation Space

So you've started your meditation journey, maybe you have an app you love or you've ventured into solo meditation territory! No matter where you are at in your practice, having a beautiful space to ground and focus your energy in can be a great tool to deepen your connection.

Whether it is a corner of a space or a whole room, here are our top tips for creating the ultimate meditation space.

COLOUR

Be sure to choose calming and soothing colours that will help settle your mind and spirit- even though your eyes are closed during meditation!

Think soft neutrals, dusky shades of pinks, browns, blues or even warm earthy yellows and oranges. Avoid brights, dark colours or harsh/stark white.

SOFT FURNISHINGS

You want your meditation space to be as comfortable as possible so you can focus your energy without distractions such as a numb bum! Floor cushions, meditation seats, blankets, pillows and a rug can transform your space into a tranquil and soothing escape.

NATURE
Bring nature into your space with beautiful plants, a couple of potted plants and some hanging will really add zen into your meditation zone. If you're lucky enough to have a balcony or live in a warm country, why not take your meditation space outside and really immerse yourself in nature!

PROPS
Personalise your space with props that have meaning to you and will help aid your meditation experience, candles can be a great way to set the scene with scents based on what you need. Calming crystals such as Amethyst and Howlite are great to work with. Statues, salt lamps, incense or any spiritual guidance books can also be fabulous additions.
